Vacuum Insulation Panel Manufacturers: 8 Companies to Explore

A supplier overview for refrigeration, cold-chain packaging, building insulation and industrial projects.
When searching for a vacuum insulation panel manufacturer, start with the application: an appliance wall with limited space, a lightweight shipper, a building element or an equipment enclosure. The useful question is which published product family fits that requirement, not which company has the broadest claim.
This guide selects eight companies with accessible official VIP product information. It is not an exhaustive directory. Companies appear alphabetically by the names below, not by market share, capacity, price or product quality. The application examples are not limits on each company’s capabilities. Sources reviewed: September 20, 2026.

Kevothermal - Sealed Air
Sealed Air presents Kevothermal panels for building projects, including standard sizes and bespoke layouts. It describes insulation partners providing U-value calculations and installation plans. This makes the project layout an important part of the supplier discussion.

A useful question to ask: Who prepares the layout, what panel protection is required, and how are perimeter gaps handled?
Kingspan Insulation
Kingspan describes OPTIM-R as an evacuated microporous core in a gas-tight envelope. Its roofing system combines VIPs with PIR infill boards. Product and system documents are market-specific, so a panel description should not replace the local assembly specification.
Official sources: OPTIM-R panels · OPTIM-R Roofing System
A useful question to ask: Which regional system is offered, and what installation details apply at penetrations, drains and panel edges?
Morgan Thermal Ceramics
Morgan publishes Vacupor VIP information for temperature-controlled packaging and refrigeration. Separate datasheets cover grades such as MS, TS B2 and XPS B2 S. Buyers should request a grade recommendation rather than treat Vacupor as one interchangeable panel specification.
Official sources: Vacupor applications and data sheets
A useful question to ask: Which grade and facing suit the payload, handling cycle and operating conditions, and what sample should be qualified?
Panasonic
Panasonic presents glass-fiber U-Vacua for refrigeration and transport containers, with OEM configurations. ADVANC-R is a separate building-product family, including roof applications. Identify the relevant family before comparing dimensions, thermal data or qualification documents.
Official sources: U-Vacua · ADVANC-R
A useful question to ask: Which family serves the application, which regional team supplies it, and what measurement basis applies to the proposed model?
Supertech
Integrated manufacturing and multiple product routes
Fujian Super Tech Advanced Material Co., Ltd. was founded in 2007 and is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange STAR Market (688398). Its published manufacturing scope covers core materials, barrier films, getters and adsorbents, panel production and thermal testing. The portfolio spans fiberglass, fumed silica, lightweight, ultra-thin and VAP metal-envelope VIPs.
Official sources: About Supertech · VIP product families
For OEM buyers, this manufacturing scope provides a basis for discussing both material configuration and finished-panel design. The five families offer different options for core material, mass, thickness and envelope construction; they do not share one universal performance specification.
For custom geometry, discuss the drawing, sealing perimeter, clearances and production feasibility before ordering. Factory-designed openings or shaped panels are different from cutting a finished VIP during installation.
The supply scope also includes VIP insulated coolers and pallet shippers. Buyers can investigate a panel component or a complete packaging format, then define the tests needed for their payload and route. A broad portfolio is a selection advantage, not proof that every configuration has already passed a particular project’s qualification.
A useful question to ask: Which series, film or shell and finished panel mass fit the project? Can the drawing be manufactured, and what panel or system testing is required?
Turvac - Recticel Group
Turvac identifies itself as part of Recticel Group, with production in Slovenia. Its fumed-silica range includes panels, VIP boxes and combinations with protective materials such as ABS or XPS. Distinguish a bare panel from a protected assembly or packaging product.
Official sources: Turvac product portfolio
A useful question to ask: Which supply format, protective layers and finished dimensions are proposed, and what handling instructions accompany them?
Vaku-Isotherm
Vaku-Isotherm describes manufacturing from core material to finished VIP. Its range includes vakuVIP, vakuVIP Flex and ultra-VIP. Flex is presented for three-dimensional geometries, making the permitted shape and installation method useful starting points for a technical discussion.
Official sources: Vaku-Isotherm products and applications
A useful question to ask: What geometry limits, sealing-edge clearances and assembly sequence apply to the proposed product?
va-Q-tec Thermal Solutions
va-Q-tec Thermal Solutions lists conventional and application-specific VIP families, including va-Q-vip, va-Q-plus and va-Q-steel. Its portfolio describes customized geometries and coatings, and individual panel testing with va-Q-check. Buyers can investigate both the construction and its quality-control evidence.
Official sources: va-Q-tec VIP portfolio
A useful question to ask: Which grade, finish and temperature-dependent data apply, and which panel checks are documented for the order?
How to build a useful supplier shortlist
- Define the assembly. State the payload or equipment, space envelope, service temperatures, humidity, handling and expected operating period. Send a drawing rather than only a target thickness.
- Match the exact configuration. Ask for the proposed core, envelope, protective layers, dimensions and finished mass. A family name alone is not a purchasing specification.
- Compare thermal data on the same basis. Request the test method, mean temperature, specimen dimensions and initial or aged condition. Separate center-of-panel values from whole-panel or installed-system performance. A lower headline value is not enough for a supplier decision.
- Review integration and verification. Agree edge details, joints, penetrations, protection and assembly sequence. Ask what panel checks and application-level tests support the proposed configuration.
- Check the supply plan. Confirm samples, minimum order quantity, tooling, lead time, packaging, traceability and change control with the supplier. Published product information does not establish current availability or commercial terms.
The strongest shortlist is the one whose candidates can answer the same project brief with comparable evidence. Use the official links to investigate each product family, then narrow the list through drawings, samples and application testing.
Common questions
Is this a ranking of the best VIP manufacturers?
No. It is an alphabetical selection of eight companies with official VIP product information. It does not score or rank their quality, size or suitability for a particular project.
Can I compare suppliers using thermal conductivity alone?
Not reliably. Compare the measurement conditions and exact configuration, then account for panel edges, joints, protection and the complete assembly. Initial and aged data should not be treated as interchangeable.
Where can I find Supertech specifications?
The VIP product pages provide public selection information for five families. The Technical Resources section lists technical documents that can be requested by email.
