Supertech at BATIMAT 2026: Vacuum Insulation

Supertech brought its vacuum insulation portfolio to BATIMAT 2026 in Paris, showing how thin insulation panels and vacuum glazing can support space-conscious building designs. The exhibition took place from 28 September to 1 October 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, with Supertech exhibiting in Hall 1, booth H1-N106.
The display connected four product directions: conventional vacuum insulation panels (VIPs), Yinlin ultra-thin VIPs, YuJia metal Vacuum Armour Panels (VAP), and SuperVIG vacuum insulating glass. Together, they illustrated different approaches to insulation in opaque building elements, window and door assemblies, and architectural details where installation space is limited.
Thin insulation for real building constraints
Building insulation decisions involve more than choosing a material with a low thermal conductivity. Available depth, panel layout, connections, handling and the surrounding construction all influence how a design performs.
At BATIMAT, Supertech presented vacuum insulation as a way to explore thinner assemblies while retaining room for those practical considerations. The exhibits ranged from foil-envelope panels to metal-enclosed panels and transparent glazing, giving visitors several material and construction routes to discuss with the team.
Conventional VIP: a starting point for slim assemblies
Conventional VIPs use an evacuated core inside a sealed barrier envelope to limit heat transfer. The exhibition introduced this product family as an option for projects where insulation depth is constrained, including wall, roof and floor build-ups.
Panel dimensions and the layout around joints or penetrations need to be planned before manufacture. Finished panels should not be cut or punctured during installation, so protection and adjacent infill materials are part of the assembly design.

Yinlin ultra-thin VIP: millimetre-scale insulation
The Yinlin ultra-thin range addresses especially narrow installation spaces. The current Yinlin 2.0 product specification lists 1-5 mm thicknesses, providing a starting point for evaluating local details where a conventional insulation layer may not fit.
For window and door interfaces or compact building components, the panel geometry, edge treatment and protection should be considered alongside the available depth. The ultra-thin family offers a different format to assess, rather than a substitute for checking the performance of the complete detail.

YuJia metal VAP: another construction route
YuJia metal Vacuum Armour Panels combine a vacuum insulation core with a metal enclosure. The BATIMAT report featured stainless-steel and aluminium-based variants, extending the discussion beyond conventional barrier-film panels.
These are separate configurations, not interchangeable specifications. The appropriate enclosure, core, dimensions and operating conditions depend on the application. For building and industrial buyers, this creates a basis for discussing both the insulation material and its integration into the surrounding structure.

SuperVIG: vacuum insulation for transparent elements
The SuperVIG display brought the same vacuum-insulation principle to glazing. A vacuum gap reduces heat transfer through the glass assembly, making vacuum insulating glass relevant to discussions about window, door and facade designs with limited glazing depth.
The exhibition also included insulating-glass combinations and related glazing products. Selection needs to account for the complete assembly, including the frame, edge details, glass configuration and installation requirements.

A broader display, with project discussions on site
Alongside the four main product directions, the company report documented fumed-silica VIPs, metal VIP and polyurethane composite modules for LNG applications, hybrid vacuum and insulating glazing, insulated door units, and decorative glass.
This broader display showed how the product portfolio extends from individual insulation components to related glass and composite formats. On-site photographs captured visitors examining samples and talking with the Supertech team about products and applications.

Product samples supported face-to-face discussions at the Supertech stand.
