Face-to-face conversations and product demonstrations at the Supertech stand in Las Vegas.

Supertech presented its vacuum insulation and glazing portfolio at GlassBuild America 2026, held from 23 to 25 September at the Las Vegas Convention Center. At booth 2406, the team welcomed window and door manufacturers, glass processors and project buyers to explore thin insulation formats and their integration into building components.

The display brought together SuperVIG vacuum insulating glass, YuJia metal Vacuum Armour Panels (VAP), and Yinlin ultra-thin vacuum insulation panels (VIPs). Polyurethane profiles and decorative glass complemented the presentation, connecting the insulation discussion with the wider design of windows, doors and building envelopes.

From individual materials to building assemblies

For North American building projects, insulation choices have to work within practical constraints: available installation depth, frame geometry, interfaces and the intended use of each component.

The Supertech display gave visitors a chance to examine both transparent glazing and opaque insulation panels in one place. Samples helped make the differences between product formats tangible, supporting conversations about where each could fit within a window, facade or other building assembly.

SuperVIG: vacuum insulation in a glass unit

SuperVIG uses an evacuated gap between glass panes to reduce heat transfer through the glazing. Its slim construction makes it relevant to projects in which glazing depth matters, including high-performance windows, facade systems and refurbishment work.

The presentation also introduced an optional embedded vacuum-monitoring configuration. An ultra-thin sensor at the glass edge provides a way to monitor the vacuum condition without occupying the central viewing area.

For manufacturers considering a glazing change, the next step is to review the glass configuration, frame compatibility, edge details and installation requirements together. The website’s product page provides public specifications as a starting point for that discussion.

YuJia metal VAP: a metal-enclosed insulation format

YuJia metal Vacuum Armour Panels combine a vacuum insulation core with a metal enclosure. This construction offers another product route for buyers evaluating building elements and industrial insulation, alongside conventional barrier-film VIPs.

The range includes aluminium and stainless-steel enclosure configurations. Their specifications are separate, so the intended application, panel dimensions, enclosure and operating conditions should guide the choice.

For project discussions, the metal format also brings attention to connections, panel edges and the surrounding assembly. These details help turn an initial material enquiry into a more specific component proposal.

Yinlin ultra-thin VIP: insulation where space is tight

Yinlin ultra-thin VIP adds a millimetre-scale panel format to the portfolio. The current Yinlin 2.0 specification lists 1-5 mm thicknesses, making it a product family to assess where the insulation allowance is particularly small.

The exhibition highlighted the role of thin panels in compact thermal details. For a specific design, panel footprint, edge clearance and protection can be reviewed together with the thermal target and the surrounding materials.
