Lightweight VIP

Lightweight VIP selection is a balance between conductivity, finished panel mass, thickness and handling. Zhuoqing and Yunqing are distinct products; compare their specified constructions rather than treating all lightweight panels as one grade.

  • Zhuoqing: λ ≤ 4.5 mW/(m·K)
  • Yunqing: λ ≤ 6.0 mW/(m·K)

Zhuoqing Lightweight VIP

Zhuoqing has a specified conductivity of ≤4.5 mW/(m·K). Finished panel density depends on thickness; the density of the core alone must not be used to calculate finished panel weight.

Zhuoqing Lightweight VIP
PropertySpecification
Thermal conductivity λ≤ 4.5 mW/(m·K) = ≤ 0.0045 W/(m·K)
Length and width100–1000 mm
Thickness8–50 mm
Panel density120–220 kg/m³
Density at 8–15 mm180–220 kg/m³
Density at 16–35 mm140–180 kg/m³
Density at 36–50 mm120–140 kg/m³

Yunqing Lightweight VIP

Yunqing has a specified conductivity of ≤6.0 mW/(m·K). Its specification sheet lists a broader size range than the configuration described in the aging report. Keep these two scopes separate when selecting samples.

Yunqing Lightweight VIP
PropertySpecification-sheet scope
Thermal conductivity λ≤ 6.0 mW/(m·K) = ≤ 0.0060 W/(m·K)
Length and width100–1000 mm
Thickness5–50 mm
Panel density in comparison example85 kg/m³
Core density in comparison example45 kg/m³

The 85 kg/m³ value is a comparison example, not a density guarantee for every thickness. Confirm the finished mass for the selected construction.

Dimensional tolerances

Both specification sheets use the following tolerance bands. The nominal thickness range still differs: Zhuoqing starts at 8 mm and Yunqing at 5 mm. Confirm tolerances at the shared band boundaries on the approved drawing.

Dimensional tolerances
PropertyRangeTolerance
Length / width100–600 mm±3 mm
Length / width600–1000 mm±5 mm
Thickness5–20 mm±0.5 mm
Thickness20–50 mm±1.5 mm

Yunqing: aging-report configuration

The report dated 16 March 2026 describes the configuration below. Its dimensions and densities do not replace the broader specification-sheet ranges above. Historical measurement results remain specific to the tested specimens.

Yunqing: aging-report configuration
PropertyReported configuration
Length / width≤600 mm; ±3 mm; ±5 mm for irregular shapes
Thickness8–50 mm; ±1 mm
Density at 8–15 mm90–140 kg/m³
Density at 16–30 mm70–100 kg/m³
Density at 36–50 mm70–100 kg/m³
Service temperature−80 to +85°C
Compressive strength180–210 kPa

The report does not assign a density band to 31–35 mm. Do not interpolate that missing range; request the configuration-specific value.

Handling and qualification

For mobile boxes, refrigerated vehicles and appliance walls, review the finished mass, facing layers, compression at the mounting points and puncture protection. Low rebound after puncture does not mean that the vacuum or original thermal performance survives damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which conductivity should be used for the two products?

Use λ ≤4.5 mW/(m·K) for Zhuoqing and λ ≤6.0 mW/(m·K) for Yunqing. Historical aging measurements are test results, not replacements for these product specifications.

Can the core density be used as the finished panel density?

No. The envelope, facings and adsorption materials also add mass. Compare the finished construction at the required thickness and dimensions.
